Supervisor + Trainee Workflow · Rhode Island private beta
A supervisor and a trainee work the same file. The trainee logs hours straight to the supervisor's queue, the supervisor signs or rejects each entry with a reason, and a transcript of what was approved exports on demand. It is the recordkeeping half of supervision — the professional judgment stays entirely yours.
This is a private beta limited to Rhode Island. We are not running it in other states yet.
AppraisalOS provides workflow and recordkeeping tools. It does not provide a supervisory appraiser, award a credential, guarantee that experience will be accepted by a state licensing agency, or replace state-required forms, filings, education, or supervisory responsibilities.
Nine things, and only these nine. Anything not on this list is either in development below or does not exist.
A supervisor and a trainee work the same file. Participation is recorded per assignment, with inspection and report participation tracked separately.
The participant role decides what each person can do on a file. A trainee cannot approve their own work — the engine refuses the transition rather than hiding the button.
The trainee logs hours against a file by category — inspection, report, research, review, training — with the date worked and optional notes. Logging submits the entry straight to the supervisor's queue.
Every entry is approved or rejected by the supervisor of record, with a required reason on rejection. Self-approval is blocked by database triggers, not just the UI.
Hours records keep who acted, which state it moved to, and when — approved by, approved at, and the rejection reason.
A downloadable archive of approved hours across a relationship, date-ranged, containing a manifest, CSV, JSON, and a README. Only approved entries are included.
The supervisor sees their trainees, the state of each relationship, and recent activity in one list.
Hour entries waiting on the supervisor collect in one queue — sign or reject each from the row — rather than being hunted for trainee by trainee.
A supervised file reports what still stands between it and delivery: no reviewer assigned, sections needing revision, sections not approved, or sections with no signoff at all.
The export is a generic transcript of approved hours. It is not an official Rhode Island form and not any state's official form. Rhode Island-specific output is in development.
Section approval records that a named supervisor approved a section at a time. AppraisalOS makes no claim about the legal sufficiency of that record as an electronic signature.
These are being built or tested. None of them is available today, and we are not putting dates on them.
Approved founding supervisors may add one trainee at no additional software charge during the private beta. Permanent trainee pricing will be announced before the pilot ends.
