Revision Check · sealed-file review

A read-only second look at the sealed file.

Revision Check examines the latest sealed PDF, XML, and ZIP for evidence-backed findings before delivery. Findings stay bound to the exact artifact hashes and source snapshot they reviewed. Revision Check cannot edit, approve, or declare the report compliant.

The workflow

How it works, step by step.

  1. 01
    Prepare the candidate package

Generate the PDF, MISMO XML, and delivery ZIP from the current report state.

  2. 02
    Seal the artifact identity

Revision Check binds the review to the PDF, XML, ZIP, and source-snapshot fingerprints so a later file cannot inherit an earlier result.

  3. 03
    Run deterministic evidence checks

Artifact invariants, AppraisalOS analyses, and eligible reviewed-policy checks are evaluated without creating unsupported findings.

  4. 04
    Inspect each finding

See severity, basis, expected and observed facts, canonical source, and the exact artifact provenance behind the finding.

  5. 05
    Decide as the appraiser

Resolve the report issue or document why the existing work is supportable. If the report changes, generate a new sealed candidate and review that file.

What's included

Everything in this feature.

Sealed-artifact identity

SHA-256 identities bind the review to the exact candidate ZIP, PDF, XML, and source snapshot.

Evidence-only findings

A finding must carry a recognized basis, explanation, expected and observed facts, and a canonical source.

Reviewed-source provenance

Policy-based findings identify the reviewed authority, document revision, section, and verification date.

Fail-closed evidence boundary

Legacy, incomplete, or unverifiable evidence is shown as unavailable rather than converted into a clean result.

Appraiser-controlled resolution

Revision Check cannot edit the report. The appraiser decides whether and how the report changes.

Honest external boundary

Revision Check is not a GSE, agency, lender, portal, or official compliance decision.

Why this matters

A reviewer should show why, not just wave a red flag.

Revision Check keeps every appraiser-facing finding tied to the exact sealed file and evidence that produced it. That makes the review inspectable without pretending software can replace appraisal judgment or external acceptance.

FAQ

Quick answers.

  • No. Revision Check is read-only. It can display evidence-backed findings, but only the appraiser can change and re-sign the report.
